I have been working in the field of music education for over 25 years in the United States and Ethiopia. I have a strong educational background. I have a Master of Fine Arts degree and a Degree of Perfection.
The Mind Institute certifies me to teach their music & math program. In addition I have a site supervisor permit from the California State Commission on Teacher Credentialing in child development.
My personal philosophy has evolved through my involvement in music education, teaching in private and public institutions, teaching typically developing children and individuals with special needs from 3 years to adulthood.
My goal as a music teacher is to equip each child with skills leading to meaningful musical performance and discriminating listening.
Children will participate in an annual recital.
About G&V Music Private Studio
Piano, Clarinet, Saxophone & Music
G&V Music has recently relocated after over 30 years in Los Angeles. The founder holds degrees from France, Russia, a teaching Permit issued in California & Diploma from Yared Music School Ethiopia. Music lessons are offered for the piano, clarinet, saxophone & recorder. Students accepted range from 3 years old to professional musicians.
Instruction includes music theory, rhythm, music history & technological support appropriate to the student developmental & musical ability. Music class is also offered via Zoom. Use of Internet and hands on experiences augment the ambiance for the student. Instruction is available in English, Amharic and Russian. Lessons can be scheduled in the G&V Music Studio Located in Laurel, in your home, or via Zoom.
